REVIEW: 10 Critical Ways To Generate Traffic To A Newly Created Website

Byadmin

Apr 20, 2023

Creating a new website—whether it’s a blog or a lead capture page on the Power Lead System—is just the first step towards building an online presence.

Yes, you need a “presence”… if you don’t think so, then keep doing what you’re doing and see how that works for you…

Ah… but, I digress.

To make sure your website is successful, it’s essential to generate traffic to your web site. That can be done in a number of ways, but in this article, I’m just going to cover the 10 basic strategies that I’ve been using over the past 20+ years.

Website traffic—or “visitors”… as in real human eyeballs—is the number of people who visit your website. The more traffic your website receives, the higher the chance of achieving your goals, whether it is increasing brand awareness, selling products or services, or providing information.

Not all “traffic” is created equal!

Here are ten critical ways to generate traffic to a newly created website, or a Home Business Pro sales funnel.

  1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search engine optimization is the process of optimizing your website to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs).

But it’s SLOW!

SEO involves a lot of keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization. By optimizing your website for search engines, you can increase the visibility of your website, drive more traffic, and ultimately achieve your goals.

The problem with optimizing a web site for the search engines is that the content comes across as “stilted”… as if it was written for the search engines, but not for human readers.

Don’t over-do your keyword research and overlook your target readers: humans.

Not search engines.

Google doesn’t care about your content, humans do.

Sure, good on-page and off-page optimization can help people find information online, but you also want them to READ your content.

If it appears that an artificial intelligence bot wrote your shit, then your results are going to end up the same: like shit.

SEO is a long-term strategy, and can take months and years show results, but it’s a critical component of any successful online marketing strategy. Just don’t get caught up in the hype about SEO, and don’t let some fast talking “eggspurt” bullshit you with his schpiel.

  1. Content Marketing

What is content marketing?

Content marketing is the creation and distribution of valuable, relevant, content to attract—and retain—a “targeted” and defined audience of readers.

For example: if you’re writing articles, or “creating content” for the automobile industry, you want them as your target audience: you DON’T want to write content for the “work at home mommy” and expect the auto industry readers to find your content.

Content can be in the form of blog posts, like this one, or articles, videos, podcasts, infographics, and more.

By creating high-quality content that provides value to your target audience, you can attract more traffic to your website. Content marketing can also help you establish your authority in your niche, increase engagement, and drive conversions… and eventually, sales.

A good place to start finding readers is with the Directory Of Ezines where you can find publishers who already have targeted subscribers interested in a wide variety of subjects.

  1. Social Media Marketing

If your target audience is on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, or other social media outlets, then caveat emptor!

Advertising, or “marketing” on social media can have its monetary benefits, but it can also be a double edged sword.

Social media marketing can be expensive: you can end up spending a lot of money on social media marketing and advertising only to get “throttled”, or even black-listed.

I’ve seen too many marketers get shut down on social media after having spent thousands of dollars on their campaigns, because of some minor infraction they weren’t aware of.

Using social media platforms to promote your business can be a real pain in the butt. Creating social media profiles and sharing your website’s content, you can attract more traffic to your website… IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AUDIENCE.

Again, it’s all about “audience”. If you don’t have a “following” (and “audience”), then you’re basically toast.

People on social media can be fickle. While SMM (social media marketing) can help you acquire a certain demographic for your business, and allow you to engage with your audience, it can also attract a lot of “trolls” and unwanted attention.

The key to successful social media marketing is to identify the platforms that your target audience uses and create content that resonates with them.

Platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn can be beneficial for you, IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING.

Personally, my opinion on the two is not all that great. But, that’s just me. You can ask me why, and I’ll give you an “ear full”… or an eye-full. But I have my reasons.

  1. Paid Advertising

Paid advertising is HANDS DOWN the best form of generating traffic to your web site.

And I’m not talking about paid advertising on social media either. I’m talking about paid advertising on targeted platforms that have an audience of buyers who are already waiting to buy your product or service. They have credit card in hand, and are looking for YOUR product.

Paid advertising can include Google Ads, social media advertising, and display advertising, but you could be wasting a lot of money for poor results with those venues.

One of the fastest ways to acquire new customers is by using a select number of solo ad providers who target niche buyers.

And, mind you, not all solo ad providers are created equal. There are very few solo ad providers that I will recommend because there are just too many on the internet selling crappy leads.

Don’t fall prey to a solo ad provider who hustles you to buy his or her crap. If they have to hustle you, then think about it: their leads are probably crap, and they’re desperate for new business… just sayin’.

(If it appears that I’m “opinionated” on this subject… I AM!)

Paid advertising can help you drive targeted traffic to your website quickly.

However, it can be expensive if you don’t know what you’re doing. If you pick the wrong solo ad vendor, or the wrong publisher, and you haven’t done your homework, and crafted a well designed ad campaign, it can result in a lot of wasted time AND money.

Just ask Anthony.

Anthony is a friend of mine who has spent the past 10 years losing money on the internet because he didn’t know what he was doing.

So, don’t be an Anthony.

Have a clear understanding of your target audience, the keywords they use, and the platforms they use before investing in paid advertising.

If you don’t know anything about using paid advertising and making money on the internet, then take some courses. Start with the Power Lead System and the Home Business Pro, go through their courses, and learn how to do it right.

Don’t spend months and years learning how to make money on the internet: use the courses in the Home Business Pro that SHOWS you, not just TELLS you, how to make a realistic income online.

  1. Email Marketing

Ah! What can I say?

Email marketing is one of my favorite ways to make money online, because you own your list of subscribers.

Problem is: how do you build a list?

Pay attention to what I said in the previous section about the Home Business Pro, because inside is a course by Gregg Davidson, a multi-million dollar earner, and master copy writer, who has put together the best email marketing course I have ever seen!

Email marketing is a powerful tool—and strategy—for generating traffic and converting visitors into customers.

By building an email list and sending targeted emails to your subscribers, you can stay in front of your audience and brand yourself. Then you can nurture your leads, drive traffic to your website, and expand your business.

To build an email list, you can offer valuable resources, such as eBooks or whitepapers, in exchange for email addresses. Once you have a list, you can segment it based on interests, behaviors, or demographics and send targeted emails that are relevant to each segment.

Email marketing can also help you increase your website’s visibility by including links to your website in your emails.

Learning the basics—and advanced strategies—of email marketing is one of the main subjects taught in the Home Business Pro. Check it out.

  1. Influencer Marketing

If you have a recognizable name on the internet like Grant Cardone, Joe Rogan, or any member of the Kardashian gang, Influencer marketing can make you a lot of money just for your name recognition.

But if you’re not one of the above named individuals, how do you take advantage of “influencer marketing”?

That takes work on your part.

Partnering with influencers in your niche to promote your website, products, or services can be a good start. But how do you get your foot in the door with influencers?

Influencers are individuals or groups with a large following on social media, blogs, or other online platforms, and can sometimes be quite snobby. It may take some work on your part—A LOT OF WORK—and you might have to put on your thinking cap and make some connections before you work with influencers.

By collaborating with influencers, you can leverage THEIR audience and reach more people who are interested in your niche. Influencer marketing can help you generate traffic, build brand awareness, and increase engagement.

One of the best directories I have found to get your foot in the door with influencers is picking your niche through the Directory of Ezines (DOE). The DOE has over 1,000 categories (niches) that you can choose from, with over 92 million opted in subscribers. It’s certainly a lot easier to start with the DOE than it is trying to find an influencer who will listen to you.

  1. Guest Blogging

Blogging takes a bit of work, and like this blog, can be cumbersome, or profitable.

However, guest blogging can be beneficial to you if you have others blogging with you.

Guest blogging involves writing and publishing content on other websites in your niche by contributing to their content. You can also have others blogging on YOUR blog, and work out some sort of agreement with them.

By guest blogging, you can reach a lot of new audiences, establish your authority, and drive traffic to your website.

To get started with guest blogging, you can research websites that accept guest posts and pitch them with your ideas. When writing guest posts, make sure to include a link back to your website in your author bio or within the content.

You can also start a blog like this one, and have other guest bloggers contribute their content to your blog. Doing this helps to keep your blog fresh, and you don’t have to do all the work.

  1. Video Marketing

Video marketing involves creating and sharing videos to promote your website, products, or services, or just sharing snippets of your life like a couple of friends of mine, Trent and Allie, where they share videos on their YouTube channel about their life as “van lifers” and building a house in the Utah mountains.

You could also start your own YouTube channel like I did where I share my opinions and reviews on all sorts of ideas.

But, who cares about me and what I think?

Maybe you would like to watch an interview with someone who has actually made over a million dollars in internet marketing, where they tell their story how they did it, and how you can do it, too.

Videos can be recorded with a wide variety of software systems, then shared on social media platforms, YouTube, or embedded on your website.

By creating engaging and informative videos, you can attract more traffic to your website, increase engagement, and establish your authority in your niche. Video marketing can also help you build a relationship with your audience and increase brand awareness.

It works for me, and it can work for you.

  1. Community Building

Community building” is exactly as the term applies: it involves creating a community of like-minded individuals around your brand, your niche, or your favorite cause. You can build a community on social media platforms, forums, or even on your website.

By creating a community, you can foster engagement, create a sense of belonging, and attract more traffic to your website. To build a community, you can create a Facebook group, start a forum, a blog, or even host events in your niche.

  1. Referral Marketing

Referral marketing involves incentivizing your current customers or website visitors to refer their friends, family, or colleagues to your website.

By creating a referral program, you can encourage your existing audience to help you generate more traffic to your website. Referral marketing can be an effective way to reach new customers or visitors who are already interested in your niche.

And if you don’t want to go through all the technical “learning curves” to creating a referral site, then you can join one for free, like the 50 Dollar Gift Card site where you can complete trial offers to become qualified to promote to others through the referral process.

Generating traffic to a newly created website is a continuous process that requires a variety of strategies: you can use the strategies outlined above, or you might come up with something of your own. Put your thinking cap on!

You’re certainly not limited by these ten strategies, but they can give you a good start.

You can attract more traffic to your website, increase engagement, and achieve your goals by using some of the ideas in this article.

It’s important to remember that not all strategies will work for every website or niche, so pick the venues that work best for you.

With time, effort, and a commitment to creating high-quality content, you can build a successful online presence that drives traffic and generates revenue.
